No agency or developer pays for placement here. Every gem on this site earned its spot on merit alone.

The coast is broader than Marbella — it stretches from Nerja in the east to Manilva in the west. Each town has its own character: the old-town calm of Estepona, the year-round energy of Fuengirola, the quiet hillsides of Casares, the urban pulse of Málaga.
We know these streets. We cover the whole coast, but we select with care. Curated means we exercise judgment — not just about which gems to feature, but which areas suit which buyers, where the real value is, and which projects are actually worth the commitment.

The GEM Score
Every property on Marbella Gems receives a GEM Score — our multi-dimensional editorial rating. It goes beyond price per square metre.
We evaluate location and connectivity, community and lifestyle, value for money, natural light and orientation, build quality and condition, and sea or mountain views. Each dimension is scored independently, giving you a clear picture of what a property does well — and where it falls short.
The GEM Score is not a marketing tool. It is an honest assessment, and it sometimes reveals that a property with a low price has a low score for good reason.
How we work
We know the neighbourhoods. We walk the streets, sit on the terraces at different times of day, and write honestly about what we find — including the imperfections.
We name the noise from the road. We note when a terrace only catches sun until noon. We mention when a building has no lift and why that matters. We don't describe anything as stunning, exclusive, or a dream home.
